Topic: Canada Consumer Product Safety Act (CCPSA) General Prohibitions

As a manufacturer, importer, advertiser and seller of consumer products, do you know your responsibilities and expectations from Health Canada?  Is your company in compliance with the CCPSA?  Do you know how to report health or safety incidents to Health Canada and provide the relevant information related to the hazards?  Do you understand the steps involved in a product recall?

In this information session, Dennis Lancion, Connectivity & Products Technical Manager – Hardlines for SGS Canada Inc., will answer those questions and others while providing an overview on Health Canada’s approach in enforcing the general prohibitions under Canada Consumer Product Safety Act (CCPSA) and what Health Canada considers when evaluating if a consumer product is a danger to human health or safety.
